 History of concrete contractors

The time period that concrete was first invented is up for interpretation. The ancients used materials that were crude cements that were made by crushing and burning limestones. Lime also refers to burned or crushed limestones. Sand and water was added to these cements and at which at this point they became mortar like material. Over thousands of years, these materials were improved upon, combined with other materials and eventually you have what we call concrete today.

Todays concrete is made by combining portland cement, coarse and fine aggregates of stone, water, and sand. Ad mixtures are chemicals that can be added to concrete mix to control its setting and properties. These chemicals can be added during extremely low temperatures when concrete is needed to set properly in the winter time.

The precursor to concrete was created in 1300 BC when middle eastern builders found that when they covered the outside of their clay fortresses with burnt limestone, it reacted to produce a hard protective surface. This was not considered concrete at the time, this was the development of concrete.
